Frequency

What is Freq.?

Frequency measures the average number of times each person in your audience has seen your ad. It is calculated by dividing impressions by reach. Managing frequency is essential for balancing message repetition with ad fatigue, too low and your message does not stick, too high and users tune out or report your ad.

Formula

Frequency = Impressions / Reach

Example

If your campaign has 60,000 impressions and 20,000 reach: Frequency = 60,000 / 20,000 = 3.0. On average, each person saw your ad three times.
