- 3Divide spend by clicks.
Hypothetical example: $350 in spend divided by 500 clicks gives a CPC of $0.70.

What is CPC (Cost Per Click)?
Cost Per Click (CPC) is a digital advertising metric that measures how much you pay each time someone clicks on your ad. It is one of the most fundamental metrics in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, used across Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, and other platforms.
CPC is calculated by dividing your total ad spend by the total number of clicks: CPC = Total Cost / Total Clicks. For example, if you spend $500 and get 250 clicks, your CPC is $2.00.
Understanding your CPC is crucial for budgeting and forecasting. A lower CPC means you can acquire more traffic with the same budget, but CPC should always be evaluated alongside conversion rate and customer lifetime value. A higher CPC that drives qualified traffic can be more profitable than a lower CPC that attracts irrelevant clicks.
