Lead Form

What is ?

Lead Forms (also called Instant Forms) are native Meta forms that let users submit their contact information without leaving Facebook or Instagram. When a user clicks a lead ad, a form pre-filled with their Meta profile data (name, email, phone) opens within the app. This eliminates the friction of navigating to an external landing page and dramatically increases form submission rates. Lead forms support custom questions, conditional logic, and CRM integrations.

Example

You create a lead ad for a real estate agency with an instant form asking for name, email, phone, and preferred property type. The form pre-fills name, email, and phone from the user Meta profile. They only need to select a property type and tap Submit. Your form conversion rate is 18% vs. 5% for your external landing page form, a 3.6x improvement.

Optimization Tips

  1. 1

Keep forms to 3–4 fields maximum, every additional field reduces completion rates by 10–15%.

  2. 2

Add 1–2 qualifying questions to filter out low-quality leads rather than collecting maximum volume.

  3. 3

Use the "Higher Intent" form type which adds a review step before submission, significantly improving lead quality.

  4. 4

Set up automated CRM integration (via Zapier, LeadsBridge, or native integration) to follow up within 5 minutes of submission.

  5. 5

Include a compelling context card at the top of your form explaining the value of what they are signing up for.
